what i'm listening to--

charlotte gainsbourg: i can't stop hitting play on her albums irm, 5:55, and terrible angels. "memoir,'"in the end," "everything i cannot see," "dandelion," "terrible angels" (sweet video below), "the songs that we sing," "tel que tu es," and "the operation" are my top pick songs.

her music, other than "terrible angels," "memoir," and "trick pony" took a while to grow on me after downloading but currently i can't get enough. her sound is a moody mix of energy and mellow drama and attitude and there seems to be a perfect space carved out for it in my life right now.

charlotte also happens to be the daughter of jane birkin. i can absolutely see the resemblance.

milk and toast -- a favourite and most nurturing combination. I like my milk ice cold with a straw (one of those cute paper straws with red stripes), or steaming hot, flavoured with a little vanilla and a lot of cinnamon. my toast -- usually two slices at once, and oftentimes flanked with apple slices or cheddar cheese -- is buttery and crunchy.

while growing old together with this blog, and watching it evolve, I've found joy in the milk and toast of my life, and have carved out a little place in the world wide web to record it. stick around, read a few entries -- perhaps you'll find something you love or can relate to.
