surprise surprise: garnet hill has some style.

my mailbox is ever-full of catalogs--most of which get immediately tossed into recycling. (no doubt many of you can relate.) garnet hill catalogs were among those. i felt their fashions had all the taste and style of old lady clothes--too casual and shapeless for my liking. when i grabbed my mail last night, my eye was drawn to a super cute swimsuit on what appeared to be the back page of a catalog and when i pulled the catalog out it happened to be garnet hill! i was very surprised and my surprise grew as i flipped through the pages and came across item after item that must be added to my closet for spring. and because i like them.

i'm imaging the anorak to be the perfect day-in-the-city jacket for walking about san francisco. and that striped sailor tee would be perfect tucked into high-waisted jeans. i want that cardigan for cool michigan evenings when i'm sitting on the porch watching the sun set.

maybe it was because i didn't realize it was garnet hill when i saw their cute signature swimsuit on the back page. maybe it's because my style and garnet hill's offerings have evolved. maybe it's because i was in a good mood. i think it's a nice mix of all of the above reasons. whatever the case, i will now be studying the garnet hill catalog a little more closely.
