finally, the weather in oakland is settling into what fall should feel like: cool sunny days and chilly evenings. i love the cooler weather. i love seeing people bundled up in jackets and scarves. i love the smell in the air and the crunch of leaves under my feet.
on saturday, i'll head into san francisco for an ella moss sample sale, late lunch with a friend at savor, back to oakland for a sock hop. after the sock hop a group of women are heading to treasure island for a nighttime photo shoot of the san francisco landscape. we're practicing with different cameras and lens for our upcoming christmas photo shoot as an official photo club. on a clear night, the view of san francisco from treasure island is absolutely breathtaking.
on sunday, i'll stick with my routine: reading, writing, an afternoon walk, nap and maybe some baking. it's my favourite way to spend a sunday. i may also check out amc's new show with ian mckellen and jim caviezel, the prisoner.
seems to me people smile more in oakland. share your smile with someone this weekend; wherever you are. it may just light up their day.
