if i had a loft with cement floors and a couple walls with exposed brick and an expense account to match my imagination, i'd fill the loft with pieces from factory 20. i especially love these dutch flaring spindle chairs. so rustic and classy. (don't you just want to pull out the saturday morning paper and sip a cup of tea? after taking the dog for a walk, of course.)
to add some colour to the room, i'd bring in bright and cheery textiles, i.e., throws, pillows, small area rugs, and the like, from places like lulu & nat, and of course, anthropologie. (i'm such a fan of that store!) i prefer my basics to tell the story and have my accessories be the inflection in the storyteller's voice. this rule lives in every realm of my style in my home and fashion.
mark my words, someday i will have my loft with a bit of exposed brick. i may not be able to fill it with factory 20 items but it will be grand and delightful.
