wear yourself some colour.

once upon a time, a dear friend of mine, ccf, introduced me to the brand boden after i commented on a very colourful skirt she was wearing. (ccf always wore fun colourful skirts.) my first visit to the site i fell in love with a yellow trench coat—classic style, belt, royal blue gingham lining—and still get compliments when i wear it all these years later. (it is especially cute with my striped umbrella and navy rain boots.)

originally, boden's clothes were sized based off european sizing charts but i just discovered yesterday they now use american sizing! happy day! now i can feel more comfortable surfing their sale section and actually buy what i put in my cart, like this boyfriend cardigan.

if you find yourself on the boden usa site, i know you'll notice, like i did, their generous use of colour—bright shining happy colours. isn't it wonderful? i love brightly coloured pieces like this cardigan. the colour makes it more versatile. this cardigan could take you on a saturday afternoon bicycle ride to the farmers market or to an evening movie with your lovey or over a t-shirt and sweats for a rainy day inside with your favourite book.
