perfect little notebooks from nikki mueller of not made in china—as seen in mint design blog. clever, amusing, compact and colourful, some can even serve as a greeting/"thank you" card. fantastic!

nightstand notes from an insomiac i dedicate to my sister. what i like about you i could give to a number of people, like you! i'd probably use the travel log to track my neighbourhood explorations. i'd jot my big ideas and dreams and wants and desires in manifest destiny. a set for $7.50.

milk and toast -- a favourite and most nurturing combination. I like my milk ice cold with a straw (one of those cute paper straws with red stripes), or steaming hot, flavoured with a little vanilla and a lot of cinnamon. my toast -- usually two slices at once, and oftentimes flanked with apple slices or cheddar cheese -- is buttery and crunchy.
