i like everything about this room: the colour scheme; the lamps; the interior wooden shingles; the step stool; most of all--the crow painting.

in my minds' eye, for the wooden shingles to work, the room would need the feel of an enclosed patio--lots of natural light, light colours (as pictured) and fabrics, and a big window or even door to the outside--rather than an actual room deep within the walls of a residence.
