staying in bed.

hibernation mode is settling in. the rains have been falling for days and days and days. hard, soak-you-to-the-bone rain. beautiful rain. all i can think about is staying in bed cozied up with a few movies and a cup of tea while the rains pelt my windows. i'm thinking the a&e version of pride and prejudice. doesn't that sound lovely? what would you watch? and aren't these beds enticing?

maybe i'll see you next week. maybe not. hibernation mode is soothing to the body and soul and i could use soothing right about now.

milk and toast -- a favourite and most nurturing combination. I like my milk ice cold with a straw (one of those cute paper straws with red stripes), or steaming hot, flavoured with a little vanilla and a lot of cinnamon. my toast -- usually two slices at once, and oftentimes flanked with apple slices or cheddar cheese -- is buttery and crunchy.

while growing old together with this blog, and watching it evolve, I've found joy in the milk and toast of my life, and have carved out a little place in the world wide web to record it. stick around, read a few entries -- perhaps you'll find something you love or can relate to.
