an afternoon daydream.

during a much-needed 10-minute break from the crazy day job, i savored every spoonful of creamy greek yogurt from a snack-size container and lost myself in the daydream of my [someday].
i saw green rolling hills, lots of trees, a giant garden with a scarecrow and sunflowers and a blueberry orchard, a barn in need of a paint job, sheep and goats grazing, cows scattered about the hills, dogs running about, chickens pecking at the ground for goodies, lilies and irises and lilac bushes and rows of peonies. the tractor was parked out front of the barn as well as a few bales of hay for the two horses which were out by the stream for some refreshment. cattails grew along the bank of the busy stream where the canoe was tied and turtle bathed in the sun. heavy clouds pushed through the sky, some threatening, some fluffy white.
in one of the valleys a little cottage was hidden--my workshop--my quiet place to write and daydream and read.
nice dream. do you daydream?
