family dining.

"a family that dines together, stays together"--so the saying goes, or something like it. i don't know exactly how true it is in general but family dinner was a major component to my life growing up and maybe, just maybe, that's one of the reasons my family is so tight. there's just something wonderful about sharing a [homemade] meal.

these are such pretty dining areas. notice the common rustic theme throughout--less in some; more in others. i'd be happy to "pass the potatoes" in any of these rooms.

i absolutely love and must have a long rustic farm table in my [someday] house. a table large enough for the entire family and guests to sit around. even better if it's picnic table style with benches instead of chairs. such fun!
