volume 2 | chapter 77
eloping has been on my brain lately (i haven't the slightest clue why; i would never consider it even though it looks perfectly simple and relaxed) and so i share another eloping story. this one is of marki and andrija in vermont and absolutely cozy and romantic.
from marki: our wedding day was ten times more wonderful than i ever dreamed. we slept in, picked up cupcakes, champagne, and picnic supplies at the local markets, and had the world's most perfect picnic on a grassy hill. we hopped into a canoe for a spin around the waterbury reservoir, and frolicked in a field of wild buttercups and spearmint. we met up with the justice of the peace and said our vows in a meadow at sunset in the shadows of the green mountain. all in all, our wedding day was like magical perfection.

you can tell it was the perfect day for marki and andrija. they look delightfully happy. aw, love.
could you imagine going to the market the day of your wedding? don't you think you'd be bustling with excitement and joy and nerves and no one around you would know what was going on wouldn't you want to tell everyone you crossed paths with that it was your wedding day and you were going to get married?! i would.
