with halloween being on monday, do you have parties and activities lined up all weekend long and a killer costume hanging in the closet? the only halloween-y thing i'm doing this year is attending the live organ performance and showing of the original phantom of the opera at the sf symphony hall, much like the dr. jekyll and mr. hyde evening last year. i'm excited beyond words; i've been looking forward to it all month. the fact this is the second year in a row makes it a tradition. love it. love making new traditions.
tonight i'm heading to the city for a birthday celebration dinner of a friend of a friend at jones. i'm not sure what all the festivities entail so we'll see how the night unfolds. a mostly-planned friday night in the city allowing for wiggle room is a guaranteed great night--san francisco never fails to entertain. after an early morning skype with family in washington, it's back to the city for the better part of the day on saturday. i'm going to check out some new curiosity shops and antique stores with stops along the way at cocoabella chocolates, the ferry building--miette, sur la table, cowgirl creamery's artisan cheese shop, recchiuti confections--and tartine. so much yummy goodness to be had and shared!
