concrete and cement blocks.

this living space is truly magnificent; a work of art in its own right. it literally looks like they took this sao paolo house and turned it inside out--the black chain-link-esque fence, the cement block walls, the concrete, the cascading ivy. at first glance, the space pulls away from you--cold and unwelcoming--but after looking deeper into the rooms and at the life portrayed in the photos, the more i find myself wanting to step foot inside and share a pot of tea.

milk and toast -- a favourite and most nurturing combination. I like my milk ice cold with a straw (one of those cute paper straws with red stripes), or steaming hot, flavoured with a little vanilla and a lot of cinnamon. my toast -- usually two slices at once, and oftentimes flanked with apple slices or cheddar cheese -- is buttery and crunchy.

while growing old together with this blog, and watching it evolve, I've found joy in the milk and toast of my life, and have carved out a little place in the world wide web to record it. stick around, read a few entries -- perhaps you'll find something you love or can relate to.
