i just watched—

marie antoinette starring kirsten dunst
written and directed by sophia coppola

with the flurry of the camera and the light fuzzing and dancing and the 60 costume changes, i felt like i had a front row seat to a fashion shoot. the birthday sequence was particularly inviting. i wanted to jump into the movie and play with them, running around the palace hallways and dancing on tables.

my favourite two dresses of the lead character were the white simple one she wears while frolicking in her garden and the light blue one with a crimson belt. both beautiful. lovely.

the camera angles and lighting made this film quite an extraordinary piece. i recommend it.
