countryside dwelling.

recently, i filled out a subscription postcard for dwell magazine and today my first issue arrived! as i started reading the pages, it dawned on me this subscription may not be the wisest. i see these fantastic architectural creations and i read about the inspiration behind them and i'm awed. what a dream it would be to build a farmhouse like the yum yum farm in iowa. i love living in a big city and having the beat of the metropolis surround me but i look forward to the days of settling in the american midwest countryside. back to my roots.

milk and toast -- a favourite and most nurturing combination. I like my milk ice cold with a straw (one of those cute paper straws with red stripes), or steaming hot, flavoured with a little vanilla and a lot of cinnamon. my toast -- usually two slices at once, and oftentimes flanked with apple slices or cheddar cheese -- is buttery and crunchy.

while growing old together with this blog, and watching it evolve, I've found joy in the milk and toast of my life, and have carved out a little place in the world wide web to record it. stick around, read a few entries -- perhaps you'll find something you love or can relate to.
