yippee!
is it just me or do weekends during the winter holidays seem busier than most? last weekend i was able to hang christmas lights and a live wreath and clean out my closet. major accomplishments! this weekend i have a christmas party to attend, snowflakes to cut, frames to fill (getting crafty with an x-acto knife—see below) and more christmas shopping while wandering around berkeley.
my craft project for the weekend—aside from the snowflakes—is filling and hanging frames with notecards my wonderful friends and family have sent me. i don't have many items hanging on my wall and the other day it came to me while cleaning out my office drawers and coming upon saved notecards. (relax—i wasn't fired. my company moved office buildings.) my plan is to cut them in half and frame the front and inside of the card. if they work out the way i see them in my head, they'll add just the personal touch to my apartment that i've been wanting. wish me luck!
i haven't had a mini dance party in some time so i'll definitely pump up the volume and break loose. maybe every night.
