can you believe this place? i came across the fantastical spa in an intriguing article written in vogue's january 2010 issue. (vogue isn't all fashion or high society silliness. don't act so surprised.) see pictures and read the article here.
with the name amangiri meaning "peaceful mountain" and guided canyon tours and special wellness programs designed for the visitor, i could easily be convinced to book a flight to the desert and be one of the millions to visit the rainbow bridge, the largest natural bridge in the world. my love for the outdoors is calling to me.
depending on the time of year, rates can run as high as $8,250 for a seven-night stay. yikes!
