high society.

the claremont hotel club & spa: i walked the grounds of this lovely resort tonight. built in 1906, it maintains its grand demeanour and rich history while overlooking the san francisco bay area. with its extensive grounds of tennis courts and swimming pools, one can still picture ladies and gentlemen of society in the early 1900s dressed in their tennis whites milling about while louis armstrong played on the open porch.

i think i would enjoy an overnight visit and explore the rooms and hallways. what an adventure!

milk and toast -- a favourite and most nurturing combination. I like my milk ice cold with a straw (one of those cute paper straws with red stripes), or steaming hot, flavoured with a little vanilla and a lot of cinnamon. my toast -- usually two slices at once, and oftentimes flanked with apple slices or cheddar cheese -- is buttery and crunchy.

while growing old together with this blog, and watching it evolve, I've found joy in the milk and toast of my life, and have carved out a little place in the world wide web to record it. stick around, read a few entries -- perhaps you'll find something you love or can relate to.
