places to be.

as much as i love my job, there are several other places i'd rather be, especially after a long and thrilling weekend (cliff water-diving, stargazing, polar bear 1000 meter swim, lots of laughing, and multiple games of speed scrabble).

here are a few:

the farm in ohio walking the hills with my parents and the dogs.
the michigan cottage walking through the woods or canoeing through the swamp.
a small town in southern france where i could eat cheese and hearty bread all day and get blocked on country roads by herds of sheep.
back in the car with my three friends from the weekend.

life is good.

milk and toast -- a favourite and most nurturing combination. I like my milk ice cold with a straw (one of those cute paper straws with red stripes), or steaming hot, flavoured with a little vanilla and a lot of cinnamon. my toast -- usually two slices at once, and oftentimes flanked with apple slices or cheddar cheese -- is buttery and crunchy.

while growing old together with this blog, and watching it evolve, I've found joy in the milk and toast of my life, and have carved out a little place in the world wide web to record it. stick around, read a few entries -- perhaps you'll find something you love or can relate to.
