in the house i grew up in, a giant periodic table poster hung on the wall above the counter. i'm not sure where it came from or what the actual reasoning was behind hanging it but it was there every day except the christmas season when mom would hang one of her felt banners. for all i know, my parents were way ahead of the game in alternative and cool interior design methods. and now a similar idea has fallen upon me: hanging vintage classroom drop-down maps. what great wallpaper. what a great conversation piece.
