lucky me--the weekend started early. my company has decided to implement summer hours on fridays which means our office closes at 2.00p. woo woo! it's always nice getting a head start on the weekend, especially when your boss shoves you out the door with a giant pat on the back for good work all week.
so what will make your weekend? i'm heading into the city tomorrow for a visit to tartine and some window shopping of the wedding kind (my friend mm's wedding, not mine--silly). i'm going to see thor later in the evening (have any of you seen it?) and hang out with uncle sundby, my stormy gray and fiesty [pure-bred glimsdahl] rabbit.
the weather is threatening rain for sunday which i normally wouldn't mind but after all the fun bike riding in santa cruz last weekend it's all i wanna do. and i'd really like to configure a route to work so i can bike in a day or two a week. emiline likes being out on the road and i have a great dark magenta helmet that needs to be worn. if the rain does come, i'll split my time between reading my brother's novel and napping until food network's next food network star 2-hour premiere comes on. (my sunday night isn't complete, honestly, without the food network; usually iron chef. i love that show.) my office-hero homemade chocolate chip cookies are also on the docket for sunday night. they're hitting the road via ups on monday for home delivery (43986).
