bits of my weekend.

on saturday, after brunch with bl, i took a trip to the northern part of the bay to heritage salvage in petaluma. nn's looking for beautiful wood for a bench and entertainment center for his new place. that's where we saw the awesome green truck. i can't even begin to guess how old it was but there it was--scooting around the yard. i immediately fell in love with it and wanted to take it home.

sunday afternoon i walked over to lake merritt with half of an old, dry loaf of bread to feed the ducks. it was such a beautiful afternoon.

milk and toast -- a favourite and most nurturing combination. I like my milk ice cold with a straw (one of those cute paper straws with red stripes), or steaming hot, flavoured with a little vanilla and a lot of cinnamon. my toast -- usually two slices at once, and oftentimes flanked with apple slices or cheddar cheese -- is buttery and crunchy.

while growing old together with this blog, and watching it evolve, I've found joy in the milk and toast of my life, and have carved out a little place in the world wide web to record it. stick around, read a few entries -- perhaps you'll find something you love or can relate to.
