what do you do when one of your best friends goes out of town for the weekend? you spend your saturday at a museum after stuffing your face at brunch. the question is, which museum? i'm considering either the de young in san francisco or the omca on the other side of lake merritt from me. the de young boasts a picasso exhibit and the omca has an installation by so-cal artist/sculptor/print-maker/cultural anthropologist michael c mcmillen. (there's also the sf moma but it's a bit more expensive than i'm willing to pay right now--man oh man, i miss the free museums of washington, d.c.)
we'll see where the weekend takes me. part of me just wants to veg out inside and read and nap; i can always do that on sunday after church and my sunday school lesson. maybe i'll make it to a museum. maybe not. what are your plans?
