photos from my weekend.

a few adorable photos of my niece and nephew from my long weekend with them in hot hot hot moses lake, wa. we unpacked their new house, had a wal-mart adventure that went on for far too long (i picked up a great summer hat, though, very surprising), played in the dirt and pool, sketched out the garden, danced and danced, played a riotous round of scattergories, read stories, indulged with purple popcorn, shared snuggles, and much much more. it was perfect, and, like always, too short. each time it's harder and harder to say "good bye."

the pictures were taken with the instagram photo app on my iphone. the filter is earlybird. i love the soft fuzziness of the filter.

milk and toast -- a favourite and most nurturing combination. I like my milk ice cold with a straw (one of those cute paper straws with red stripes), or steaming hot, flavoured with a little vanilla and a lot of cinnamon. my toast -- usually two slices at once, and oftentimes flanked with apple slices or cheddar cheese -- is buttery and crunchy.
