elephant by ray and charles eames.

when i spotted this adorable eames elephant on pinterest, i nearly fell out of my chair. no joke! designed in 1945 after ray and charles eames succumbed to their love for creatures, the plywood pachyderm didn't make it to mass production but a cute and colourful plastic version for kids to climb on and over is available. what a fun addition to a nursery!

i so wish the plywood version was in production. i'd love to get my hands on one. what an amazing piece and what an heirloom it would make!

milk and toast -- a favourite and most nurturing combination. I like my milk ice cold with a straw (one of those cute paper straws with red stripes), or steaming hot, flavoured with a little vanilla and a lot of cinnamon. my toast -- usually two slices at once, and oftentimes flanked with apple slices or cheddar cheese -- is buttery and crunchy.
