hooray!
hurrah!
yippee!
with my guy on the east coast this weekend, i'm back to my single girl ways. not exactly hurrah-ing his absence from my weekend... for friday night, i'll spend some time sweating out this cheesecake i'm nibbling on and then to bed early. saturday comes early (i'm already super tired) and i'm going to hit the gym long and hard. then i'll head to the city to meet up with some girly friends at our favourite taqueria for mouth-watering burritos (truly the best i've ever enjoyed) and then on to joel for a hair visit--i can barely see through these bangs. after church on sunday, i'm returning to the city to babysit danny, my co-worker's 6-month old nephew, while his aunt (my co-worker) and parents go to a 49ers game party. i have no interest in the game so it works out perfectly for me. later sunday night i have cookies to bake and a pot of chili to build.
in between all that, i have lots of reading to do--some for church and the other for my pure enjoyment. i finished charlotte's web and now halfway through the phantom tollbooth, another adolescent tale and i'm loving it. the joy of reading is more vibrant in many adolescent stories than whatever's on the new york times bestseller list.
other than that, i'm just counting down until my guy returns. monday night is just around the corner...
