girl crush: morton salt girl.

i have had a silly, giggly girl crush on the morton salt girl for years. isn't she just the cutest? she started out so young and round and then moved on to playful early adolescent years before straightening up her frock and leaving the pigtails behind for a lovely bob.

from a design perspective (this is regarding 1968 girl): i'm drawn to the shade of violet lining her large umbrella; her yellow dress; the colour navy as an outline colour instead of black; the retro and vintage flair; her easygoing step; the simple lines.

milk and toast -- a favourite and most nurturing combination. I like my milk ice cold with a straw (one of those cute paper straws with red stripes), or steaming hot, flavoured with a little vanilla and a lot of cinnamon. my toast -- usually two slices at once, and oftentimes flanked with apple slices or cheddar cheese -- is buttery and crunchy.
