looking at washington, d.c.

spectacular views of familiar points of interest in our nation's capitol. the play on light and its effect on the sites is remarkable. creates quite a reverence.

it's difficult to ignore the grandeur of these sacred national treasures. not only are they robust in stature but the reverence of the immediate surrounding atmosphere is still and halting--nearly tangible, even.

sometimes i really miss living there and walking among those giants.

milk and toast -- a favourite and most nurturing combination. I like my milk ice cold with a straw (one of those cute paper straws with red stripes), or steaming hot, flavoured with a little vanilla and a lot of cinnamon. my toast -- usually two slices at once, and oftentimes flanked with apple slices or cheddar cheese -- is buttery and crunchy.

while growing old together with this blog, and watching it evolve, I've found joy in the milk and toast of my life, and have carved out a little place in the world wide web to record it. stick around, read a few entries -- perhaps you'll find something you love or can relate to.
