orla kiely--lots of pretty.

the designs of orla kiely take me back...not sure to where or how or why but they definitely conjure a memory/sense. i suppose it doesn't really matter--i simply love her designs. she's a cute lady, too. some of the rooms shown below are a bit of an orla kiely overload but there are some great retro and mid-century pieces; fantastic inspiration for such styles, too.

amazes me how such a simple design can become so iconic, like marimekko.

milk and toast -- a favourite and most nurturing combination. I like my milk ice cold with a straw (one of those cute paper straws with red stripes), or steaming hot, flavoured with a little vanilla and a lot of cinnamon. my toast -- usually two slices at once, and oftentimes flanked with apple slices or cheddar cheese -- is buttery and crunchy.

while growing old together with this blog, and watching it evolve, I've found joy in the milk and toast of my life, and have carved out a little place in the world wide web to record it. stick around, read a few entries -- perhaps you'll find something you love or can relate to.
