i'd love to walk down a wooden staircase and sink my feet into velvety soft white sand and hike over to a lighthouse, dipping my toes into the surf along the way.

and then go home and barbecue hot dogs, burgers, and chicken with close friends in the overtaken-by-rose-bushes backyard (those rose bushes are divine) and then toast the summer with root beer floats, made with henry weinhard root beer, of course.
fall and winter are my favourite times of year, no doubt, but my soul does long for a summery vacation.
