"i need my girl" by the national is sounding through my earbuds. the steady, hesitating sound of lead singer matt berninger's voice is lifting the weight of the work week off my shoulders, pound by pound, releasing me from the crippling anxiety so i can be ready for the weekend ahead.
it's been a week and i'm eager to put it behind me.
and to do just that, i'm gonna get myself a fresh haircut (i wonder if i'll be brave enough!), make time for cooking and baking, clean the apartment, shove my face into an ice cream sundae, snooze and snuggle with suzy, and watch a show with my husband.
