dear weekend,

are you there? it's me, Katie.

and I just wanted to make sure you'll be coming around this weekend because I really need you. it's been an emotional week and I'm tired. can we snuggle up with snacks and doze in and out of football games? will you deliver a sofa for my husband to nap on and make me a batch of chocolate chip cookies?

milk and toast -- a favourite and most nurturing combination. I like my milk ice cold with a straw (one of those cute paper straws with red stripes), or steaming hot, flavoured with a little vanilla and a lot of cinnamon. my toast -- usually two slices at once, and oftentimes flanked with apple slices or cheddar cheese -- is buttery and crunchy.
