yippee!
even though i've been in weekend-mode for over a week--i was out in hot hot utah last week visiting family for my brother's wedding--i'm glad the weekend is officially here. i need to sleep in, read, and write. the apartment could use a dusting, too. and fresh cut flowers.
i have a nagging voice in the back of my head, my own nagging voice, whispering ideas and begging to be written but i haven't in so long.

please understand, while i haven't any excuses, i do not mean to ignore you. i vow to revisit this weekend and make amends.what comes of it may not be my best work, but words will be written and, if not too horrible, shared. (i'm now secretly wishing for the vintage 1960s smith coronoa sterling 12 typewriter to be home waiting for my fingertips to grace its keys. alas, it's been sold--i hope to a good and loving home with a desk sturdy and fingers in flight.)
and now, on a perfectly full stomach (thanks ebbett's! i'm about to come down for another bahn mi sandwich.), i have to wrap up the work day.
