flora grubb gardens, san francisco.

on saturday, in the surprising summer heat of mid-june, we visited flora grubb gardens--a spectacular display of succulents and annuals and leafy trees, chairs and benches throughout, and a tiny inviting drink bar. the site to behold is a wonder and, get this, the nursery-owner's name is flora grubb. sounds to me like she had her life's work cut out for her before she even knew it.

my guy has great feet.

milk and toast -- a favourite and most nurturing combination. I like my milk ice cold with a straw (one of those cute paper straws with red stripes), or steaming hot, flavoured with a little vanilla and a lot of cinnamon. my toast -- usually two slices at once, and oftentimes flanked with apple slices or cheddar cheese -- is buttery and crunchy.

while growing old together with this blog, and watching it evolve, I've found joy in the milk and toast of my life, and have carved out a little place in the world wide web to record it. stick around, read a few entries -- perhaps you'll find something you love or can relate to.
