a beautiful chair.

this just might be the most beautiful black leather chair i've ever seen -- the shell lounge chair in black leather and soaped oak. sold by horne for $1,300. beside it is a glimpse of the design of the gx-01 terra rug of loloi's contemporary giselle collection. beautiful, right? they would pair quite perfectly together, i think.

some public. some private. some living. some bathing. some sleeping. some eating. some old. some new.

there are elements in each photo that appeal to me: a diy copper coffee table; a hardwood and marble floor; over-the-top fancy wallpaper; white tiled bathroom with a large, open shower; polished hardwood floors; white cabinets; white bedding; framed art displayed on the floor; cool rugs; brick; ornate mirrors; large windows; exposed beams. 

oooooh, i'd love to spend a day or two in each space. 

i could never live in a place this glamourous--

or starkly white. everywhere. but vacation in? yes.

a truly beautiful apartment. that bedroom. those floors. that vanity. the workroom. the light fixtures and windows. just lovely. they call it a chelsea townhouse and it's in london. i would've thought it was paris.

stunning floors and giant windows--goodness. i can't even daydream my way into imagining living in such a spectacular place--my life is too [wonderfully] normal and i'm too plain, not fancy enough. scroll down for incredible before and after shots of this paris space. truly a parisian's dream with its juliet balconies, chandeliers, warm woods, and chevron floors. such a fine renovation.

this room, immediately above with the chandeliers, looks like a ballroom. a room where fancy parties with finely dressed women and handsome men mingle about or a father proudly announces his daughter's engagement to the finest man in town.

simply an assortment of room images i've collected over the weeks. all have at least a single aspect that i would like to adopt into my [someday] home. club foot tub? yes please. walls of windows? definitely. mid-century furniture? like you even need to ask.

eclectic victorian remodel.

this space is so eclectic it's making my head spin. i love the panes of glass outlined in black; the industrial light fixtures are fantastic; the chevron floor in the living room is gorgeous.

floor, chair and ceiling love.

when i saw this apartment posted on my scandinavian retreat, it was love at first sight. initially i was drawn to the floors. then i noticed the fritz hansen egg chair, then the chest in the corner, the small table and eames chairs and stove. i scrolled further down and came across the nursery and, well, let's just say something tugged at my heart strings. the nursery is adorable and inviting without being too matchy-matchy or over-the-top. the wall colour is soothing and the crib is lovely in white. notice the wall moldings and ceiling adornments. what a fantastic place flat.
